Inclusion Support Agency (ISA)

Inclusion Support Agencies (ISA) provide childcare services with practical support to build their capacity to provide a quality inclusive environment for children with additional needs, including children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, children with a disability, children from a refugee or humanitarian background, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

The support offered aims to build the knowledge and confidence of staff to provide environments where children with additional needs can engage in activities and have the same opportunities as others to participate, belong, develop and succeed.

Gowrie NSW proudly manages two ISAs in NSW. NSW West ISA is based in Dubbo and supports regional, remote and very remote services as far west as Broken Hill with a service visit taking anything up to five days to complete. NSW Central West, based in Bathurst, supports up to 80 services including regional and remote services that cover a wide variety of service types.

Effective networking by both ISA teams has improved the opportunities for children with high ongoing support needs to access quality care environments and has promoted the valuable children’s services offered by Gowrie NSW.
