Specialist Equipment Pool (SEP)

Gowrie NSW is funded by the NSW Professional Support Coordinator, Children’s Services Central to provide information and support to eligible federally funded child care services in accessing specialist equipment information and support.

The Specialist Equipment Pool offers a range of special equipment to help children with disabilities or developmental delays to participate in childcare. It includes items for use in the children's service setting that would not usually be purchased by a children's service such as specialist seating, standing, positioning, toileting equipment, change tables and visual aids. An example of this type of equipment is the Adjustable Preschool Chair which provides support for a child with a disability to engage in the holistic early childhood environment. It is designed to help children keep upright so they may better participate in all experiences.
