Individual Service Support

A substantial part of the training and professional development program is Gowrie’s Individual Service Support which offers targeted assistance at individual and organisational levels under a fee-for-service arrangement. There are consistent requests for training, support and advice which Gowrie NSW delivers on behalf of the Professional Support Coordinator for NSW, Children’s Services Central. This support can include a range of topics from policy development through to contemporary programming to improve the quality of education and care provided for all children within any early childhood setting in NSW.

Accreditation Support Success

The importance of accreditation, regardless of the system being implemented, in today’s early childcare sector cannot be over-emphasised. Accreditation provides families with an indication of the quality of a childcare service for which there is an increasing demand for better professional performance, quality facilities and accountability.

Many in the industry know to approach Gowrie NSW as the experts in accreditation preparation and have come to rely on Gowrie’s outstanding ability to help centres achieve their accreditation goals.

Specifically, services that were not accredited seek a range of support options from Gowrie including centre visits for assessment of areas for improvement; strategies for improvement, staff meetings/briefings and support through a range of technological mediums. In most years, Gowrie has a success rate of over 90% in helping services become successfully accredited in their next attempt following Gowrie assistance. The support offered is extremely valuable and practical. Gowrie also provides individual services with a greater understanding of the new National Quality Framework system and the obligation of each service to comply with national quality standards of service provision.
